EEG Based Classification of Emotions with CNN and RNN

Emotions are biological states associated with the nervous system, especially the brain brought on by neurophysiological changes. They variously cognate with thoughts, feelings, behavioural responses, and a degree of pleasure or displeasure and it exists everywhere in daily life. It is a significant research topic in the development of artificial intelligence to evaluate human behaviour that are primarily based on motions. In this paper, Deep Learning Classifiers will be applied to SJTU Emotion EEG Dataset SEED to classify human emotions from EEG using Python. Then the accuracy of respective classifiers that is, the performance of emotion classification using Convolutional Neural Network CNN and Recurrent Neural Networks are compared. The experimental results show that RNN is better than CNN in solving sequence prediction problems.

Numerical Investigation of Heat Transfer and Friction Characteristics of solar Air Heater Duct using Broken 'S' Shaped Ribs Roughness

The solar air heater has an important place among solar heat collectors. It can be used as sub systems in many systems meant for the utilization of solar energy. Possible applications of solar air heaters are drying or curing of agricultural products, space heating for comfort regeneration of dehumidifying agents, seasoning of timber, curing of industrial products such as plastics. When air at high temperature is required the design of a heater becomes complicated and very costly. As far as the ultimate application for heating air to maintain a comfortable environment is concerned, the solar air heater is the most logical choice. In general solar heaters are quite suitable for low and moderate temperatures application as their design is simple. These solar air heaters have low heat transfer efficiency which can be improved using geometrical modifications like optimizing duct geometry or adding artificial roughness. The use of artificial roughness on the underside of the absorber plate is an effective and economic way to improve the thermal performance of a solar air heater. Several experimental investigations, involving different types of roughness elements, have been carried out to improve the heat transfer from the absorber plate to air flowing in solar air heaters. In this paper the CFD analysis on heat transfer and friction in rectangular ducts roughened with broken 'S' shaped ribs has been presented. The relative gap width g e is varied from 0.5 to 2.5 and other parameter are constant. The effects of gap width g e on Nusselt number, friction factor and thermo hydraulic performance parameter have been discussed and results compared with smooth duct under similar conditions. It is found that the maximum heat transfer and friction characteristic at a relative gap width of 1.

Insight into IoT Applications and Common Practice Challenges

IoT caused a revolution in the technological world. Not only is the IoT related to computers, people or cell phones but also to various sensors, actuators, vehicles, and other modern appliances. There are around 14 billion interconnected digital devices across the globe i.e. almost 2 devices per human being on earth. The IoT serves as a medium to connect non living things to the internet to transfer information from one point to another in their community network which automates processes and ultimately makes the life of human beings convenient. The subsequent result of amalgamating internet connectivity with powerful data analysis is a complete change in the way we humans work and live. The most vital characteristics of IoT include connectivity, active engagement, sensors, artificial intelligence, and small device use. All of this creates many challenges that need to be solved to keep this technology to continue expanding. In this paper, we have identified various applications of IoT based on recent technological and business trends and highlighted the existing challenges faced by IoT which need to be addressed considering the exponential acceptance of the concept globally and the way those challenges had been addressed in the past. We have also made a few comments on the way such challenges are being attempted to be resolved now. This paper presents the current status Internet of Things IoT in terms of technical details, and applications. Also, this paper opens a window for future work on the historical approach to study and address IoT challenges.

Augmented Reality Map

Augmented Reality AR is the technology that overlaps virtual objects onto real world objects. It has three main features the combination of the real world and the virtual world, real time interaction, and 3D registration. The algorithms used to produce graphical images and other sensor based inputs on real world objects uses the camera of your device. The shortest route and graphics information in 3D is not notified in normal maps. To avoid such problems we have developed a 3D virtual environment that gives graphics and contains more information about a particular place. This project is done by using the “UNITY” application, the engine can be used to create three dimensional, two dimensional which helps to view all these graphics and routes in a 3D view.

Project Report on Maynard Operation Sequence Technique

I did my 6 weeks industrial training at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd, Gurugram in the Assembly 1 Department under Production Division. The entire duration I was in the Assembly 1department. The first Week in the dept. office itself for M.O.S.T. study and techniques, then for the major part of June in Knuckle Sub Assembly Area and subsequent 4 Weeks on Line 4 and office of the department. Overall my project has been related to the standardization of man power for fluctuating production volumes of IGNIS YJC model and improvement in HPV. Majority of the time has been engaged in videography and subsequent M.O.S.T. analysis of the work stations. I have finished two projects in my tenure. Man Power Reduction was the basic principle underlying the M.O.S.T. project done.

Categorization of Protean Writers by Exploitation of Raspberry Pi

Raspberry Pi is a computer though smaller but has versatile functionality. These are useful in assisting variety of educational institutions for teaching and other investigational indagations. In this paper, three prominent Bangladeshi writer's works were catalogued by using Raspberry Pi 3. The significance of this research pivots on low cost computational teaching in different institutions. Mathematica was used for this purpose and it's comprised of two modules which effectively communicate and shape an effective interpreter. It's free on Raspberry. After gathering literature and amassing all text files in BD writer's database, application of variety of algorithms were done for categorization. Then experimental analysis was done. Among different categorizers Markov and Naïve Bayes have high precision and have best training times. This research will help in further distinguishing of languages by using an economical approach and will assist in further investigational studies for better understanding.

Wireless Power Transmission to Multiple Devices

This project work deals with wireless energy subject. Wireless power transfer or wireless energy transmission is the transmission of electrical power from a power source to a consuming device without using discrete manmade conductors. It is a generic term that refers to a number of different power transmission technologies that use time varying electro magnetic field. Wireless transmission is useful to power electrical devices in cases where interconnecting wires are inconvenient, hazardous, or are not possible. In wireless power transfer, a transmitter device connected to a power source, such as the mains power line, transmits power by electromagnetic fields across the space to one or more receiver devices, where it is converted back to electric power and utilized. In general, the efficiency of wireless power system will be very poor because of generating huge electro magnetic field. To generate such a huge field, lot of current must be pumped in to the energy transmitting coil, where as power receiving coil may not receive all the energy that is induced in the power transmitting coil. Depending up on the distance between the two coils, some of its energy will be received by the secondary coil. If the secondary coil is kept very close to the primary coil, more than 70 energy can be captured by the secondary coil. As the distance is increased, accordingly power losses also will be increased. So here the wireless power transmission concept is designed to operate multiple devices individually. The devices connected here for demonstration purpose are mobile charging, LED light and a DC motor. As the concept is designed a proto type module, the wireless power is not sufficient to operate all the devices at a time. So the loads are demonstrated to operate one at a time individually. If there's one bit of transformational technology in the mobile world today, it is wireless charging. Just as the world got a hang of using micro USB to charge everything and anything excluding Apple, the next best thing came along which is the wireless charging. Wireless energy works on the principle of electromagnetic induction. Coils of wire in the transmitter coil create a magnetic field as the current passes through. This field can induce an electrical current in an adjacent coil of wire without actually touching it. If this wire is part of a battery charging circuit, then you have wireless charging or it can be connected to any device to operate it directly.
