An Enquiry Into the Effect of GST on Real Estate Sector of India

GST is one of the revolutionary changes in the indirect taxation system of India since its independence. The main objective behind implementing it is to avoid the duplication of taxes. The focus is on one nation one tax. Further, it aims at increasing the tax base. Real estate sector in India is expected to grow 12% annually till 2020. Also, real estate sector is going through structural reforms with the implementation of new acts and norms. The government of India is focusing on affordable housing programs so that it can achieve its target of providing houses to all by 2022. This paper aims to study the impact of GST on real estate sector of India. In addition to that this paper aims at understanding the effect of taxes that were levied earlier and effect of GST on Real Estate in the present scenario.

Initiative and Impact of Digital Library Consortium: An Overview

In the vast information technology era rapidly developing nation India needs a greater intellectual input to strengthen the education and research activities which needs strategic access of information and knowledge consortia is an economic model of resource sharing to meet the information needs with limited resources in the electronic environment. Shared subscription or consortia-based subscription to electronic resources through the consortia of libraries, on one hand, it permits successful deployment and easy access to electronic resources at a highly negotiated rates of subscription and on the other hand, it meets with the increasing pressures of diminishing budget, increased user's demand and rising cost of journals. Having understood the impact of consortia government of India supported many academic and research institutions to establish consortia in various areas of research and education institutions. In this paper we have made an attempt to discuss various consortia initiations and their impact in India.

A Critical Study on the Relationship between E-Learning & its Proper Subset Blended Learning in Higher Education

In today's age of virtually instantaneous access to a vast repository of knowledge and information, learning resources are often considered as key intellectual property in a competitive world, more and more institutions and individuals are sharing e-learning resources over the Internet openly and without cost, as open educational resources (OER). But in student's learning domain it got reverse impact even in spite of several favourable impact, depending on how prudently is used,as it leads to unsupervised education system and that may prone to develop misconception.

This study is fashioned to create a scalable intervention to measure the relationship between the e-learning and its proper subset blended learning of the students of higher education, perceived by their teachers. To address this issue college teachers of Kolkata (WB) constitute the population. A sample of 200 teachers were selected. A16-items self-developed questionnaire (r = 0.87362) was used to measure the teachers' perception aboute-learning and blended learning of their students. The obtained data were analysed and interpreted by using descriptive statistics, t-test, and one way ANOVA. The result reveals blended learning encourages healthy learning to the students.

Credit Card Fraud Detection using Fire Fly Algorithm

Data Mining or Knowledge Discovery is needed to make sense and use of data. Knowledge Discovery in data is the non-trivial process of identifying valid, novel, potentially useful and ultimately understandable patterns in data [1]. Data mining consists of more than collection and managing data; it also includes analysis and prediction. People are often do mistakes while analyzing or, possibly, when trying to establish relationships between multiple features. This makes it difficult for them to find solutions to certain problems. Classification models predict categorical class labels; and prediction models predict continuous valued functions. For example, we can build a classification model to categorize bank loan applications as either safe or risky, or a prediction model to predict the expenditures in dollars of potential customers on computer equipment given their income and occupation.

Big Data Analytics Architecture and Challenges, Issues of Big Data Analytics

Big Data technologies uses a new generation of technologies and architectures, designed for organizations can extract value from very large volumes of a wide variety of data by enabling high-velocity capture, discovery, and/or analysis. Big data is a massive amount of digital data being collected from various sources that are too large. Big data deals with challenges like complexity, security, risks to privacy. Big data is redefining as data management from extraction, transformation, cleaning and reducing. The size and variety of data lead us to think ahead and develop new and faster methods of mining data which uses the parallel computing capability of processors. The above is known as big data.

Implemetation of Kanban

Kanban is a scheduling system for lean and just-in-time (JIT) production. Kanban is a system to control the logistical chain from a production point of view. Kanban was developed by Taiichi Ohno, at Toyota, to find a system to improve and maintain a high level of production. Kanban is one method through which JIT is achieved. Kanban became an effective tool in support of running a production system as a whole, and it proved to be an excellent way for promoting improvement. Problem areas were highlighted by reducing the number of kanban in circulation.

Improvement (Kaizen): Very High Fixture Set up Time on VMC Machine

Nowadays the automotive industry is facing various problems because of changing global scenario in terms of high quality expectation, reduced cost of production and increased productivity. All the companies are in the motive to solve these problems through the application of modern techniques. This project attempts to provide an effective solution for these problems through lean manufacturing techniques. The key objective of this project is to eliminate the wastes and cost of production and to increase the quality and productivity through shorter lead time and increased value added activities. This project deals with collection of the time taken for each processes and the bottleneck operations have been identified and a current state of value stream map was developed. The suggestions were made by identifying and implementing various improvements in processes, also to develop the future state value stream map for further improvements to achieve the objectives of this project.
