Analyzing and Securing Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor Networks through Cryptography Techniques

Wireless Sensor Networks are gaining popularity in various fields and areas. But these nodes are vulnerable as they are open networks and easily accessible. The major challenge is to have a secure data transmission between the nodes. To establish a secure transmission, we require a security scheme like a cryptographic algorithm, but this also requires a secure key distribution between nodes. The WSN’s have constraints like limited area, power and memory which restrict all the categories of cryptographic algorithm. Depending upon the criteria’s and constraints, cryptographic algorithm like Elliptic Curve Cryptography ECC is best suitable for WSN’s environment. ECC has a smaller key size, high security and less computation time which makes the node an efficient crypto system. In order to protect the security of data, we propose a novel secure transmission strategy based on Cryptography. In this design, we acquire sensitive information securely so as to make use of the advantage of encryption. Our approach deal with the weakness of limitation in sensor node resources and the security threats, it is suitable for stream data in sensor nodes. The simulation experiments also demonstrate that this approach is effective in transmitting sensitive data covertly with the characteristics of lower energy consumptions and invisibility. This paper describes the implementation of ECC cryptosystem for WSN for secure key and data transmission between the nodes.

Comparison and Analysis of Atmospheric Turbulence in Free Space Optical Communication for Srinagar

Traditional microwave communication systems can no longer support high bandwidth demand. Telecommunications companies in the country are therefore investing huge sums of money in laying underground fiber cables for their backbone network. The challenges these companies face in laying optical fiber cables include inaccessibility in the 4 major cities. These cities have already developed infrastructure i.e. buildings and roads . Therefore digging and laying cables are very difficult if not impossible in some suburbs. In such areas, the companies are forced to depend on microwave links. Again, due to lack of already developed network infrastructure design in the country, underground fiber cables are destroyed during road constructions. An alternative to fiber cables in inaccessible areas could be the use of FSO installation. FSO can be used to provide backup links in the event of fiber cable destruction or as a backbone network. Free Space Optical FSO communication is the transmission of optical signals through the atmosphere. To the best of our knowledge, evaluation of FSO performance in the country has not been investigated to determine its feasibility. This paper seeks to investigate whether FSO communication implementation is feasible in Srinagar. However, turbulent atmospheric conditions have impacts on its performance and therefore hampered its wide spread deployment. In this paper, we investigate the feasibility of FSO in Srinagar. Atmospheric attenuation is estimated based on the atmospheric visibility data. Our results show atmospheric specific attenuation as high as 27.17dB km in the 1550nm window, 29.315dB km in 1300nm window and 35.20dB km in the 850nm window. The probability of encountering different atmospheric attenuation conditions is estimated. Fading loss due to scintillation is investigated using the lognormal statistical model. It is shown that the margin to compensate for losses due to scintillation depends on the power scintillation index and the allowable system outage probability.

Determinants of Agricultural Innovations Adoption among Cooperative and Non Cooperative Farmers in Imo State Nigeria

This study examined the determinants of agricultural innovations adoption among cooperative and non cooperative farmers in Imo State, Nigeria. The research design used in this study is descriptive survey research design. The area of study was Imo State, and data were gotten from the three zones, namely, Orlu, Owerri and Okigwe. Data were generated from a total population of 1184 registered cooperatives and non cooperative farmers. Using Taro Yamane formula, a total of 464 respondents were selected from both cooperative and non cooperative farmers. Questionnaire was the instrument of data collection. Descriptive statistics and one way Analysis of Variance ANOVA were employed to address the research questions and to test the promulgated hypothesis. The findings revealed that important determinant of adoption include educational level, annual income, farm experience, frequency of contact, cooperative membership, price of the produce, type of media used, government policy, availability of success stories, frequency of training, attitude to novel ideas, household size, extent of livelihood diversification, availability of markets and parents occupation. Determinants of agricultural innovation adoption were also the same for cooperative and non cooperative farmers. Based on the findings made in the study, the study recommends that cooperative extension services need to be revolutionalized and given adequate attention. This can be achieved by developing new framework for cooperative extension and forging a common ground for both cooperative and agricultural extension work. Apart from recruitment and deployment of competent and well motivated staff, there is the need for provision of work gadget and work tools that are in tune with technological changes. Supervision and retraining of extension staff should also become a priority.

Smart Trolley for Billing in Super Market using AOT

These days, shopping has become a significant job in our economic activity. Fundamentally, Innovation in innovation is pointed towards making everyday existence of individuals simpler and quicker. The paper presents a smart trolley that is of extraordinary use for shopping at the supermarkets helping the challenges like holding up in huge lines at the payment counter, hauling the trolley all through the shopping time and figuring them the all out cost of the things taken, subsequently giving the speediest shopping experience. This venture portrays how to construct a computerized and efficient framework for the universe of retail which will make shopping experience rash, client agreeable and secure. Along these lines, this has brought about huge groups at shopping centers which have prompted long queues at the charging counter in light of the fact that the clerk needs to examine each item thing and afterward enter it into the charging record. The overall charging framework is a piece tedious.

Effect of Temperature on the Electric Power of Si InAs and GaAs Based Solar Cells

The electrical power is a nominal quantity which indicates the performance of the solar panels. It depends on the sunshine and also on the properties of the material used. In this work we are interested in the properties of materials to study the evolution of electrical power as a function of the temperature of the following cells based on Si silicon, InAs indium arsenide and GaAs gallium arsenide .

Assessment of Crop Water Requirement for Wheat and Mustard Crop in Dharta Watershed

In countries where water resource is limited, assessment of crop water requirement is essential for judicial use of those resources. In most of the semiarid regions ground water is major source of irrigation for Rabi and Summer season. So pre assessment of crop water requirement helps farmers in decision making during cropping in Rabi and Summer season. From study crop water requirement of mustard and wheat crop was found about 226.7 mm and 319.3 mm. Irrigation requirement of Mustard and Wheat crop was found about 214.5 mm and 291.7 mm.

Low Bay Regional Geology and Surrounding District Nan Gedang District Sorolangon District Jambi Province and Andesit Resources Potential

The results of previous researchers still disagree about the age and stratigraphic relationship of the Muara Enim Musper Formation 1937 , Marks 1956 interpreted middle Miocene age, while De Coster 1974 Saito, Saito 1985 interpreted middle Miocene Pliocene age. Detailed geomorphological discussions can be described and mapped based on the distinguishing characteristics. Geomorphological units of the study area can be grouped into 2 two geomorphological units based on the landscape formation genes proposed by Davis 1954 in Thornburry 1967 which include aspects of structure, process and status and then this principle is then elaborated by 19 Lobeck with a landscape classification natural. In the context of regional autonomy, the potential for minerals is one of the assets that needs to be utilized. To utilize the potential of mining excavation in the Ciwandan area and its surroundings, Ciwandan District, Cilegon Regency, Jambi Province. This activity needs to be carried out in advance research and study of its development prospects and be prepared in a concise, concise and systematic manner. In evaluating andesitic deposits in the study area, in relation to other uses, an analytical method is needed. This analysis method includes field observations, petrographic observations and physical rock observations.
