Growth and Yield Response of Sunflower Helianthus annuus l to Spacing and Nitrogen Fertilization in Southern Guinea Savanna Ecological Zone of Nigeria

The experiments were conducted during 2016 and2017 rainy season to determine the optimal rate of nitrogen fertilizer and adequate plant spacing for production of sunflower in southern guinea savanna agroecology zone of Nigeria. The treatments consisted of planting spacing three 20cm, 30cm, 40, four levels of nitrogen fertilizer 0, 80, 100 and 120 N Kgha 1. A factorial experiment laid in a Randomized Complete Block Design RCBD and replicated three times. The results showed that planting at 40cm significantly produced plants with higher number of leaves the tallest plants 57.86 and 58.21cm and bigger plants with stem girth of 2.93cm and 2.94cm respectively. The shortest plants 51.82 and 52.34cm and the smallest stem girths 2.03 and 2.08cm were recorded on sunflower that were planted on 20cm plant spacing in both years of cropping. Application of 120 N kg ha 1 significantly produced sunflower plants with the highest number of leaves 18.76 and 18.83, tallest sunflowers 60.45 and 61.23cm and biggest stem girth of 3.03 and 3.12cm in both 2016 and 2017 cropping seasons. These results above were at par with the other rates of nitrogen fertilizer application, but higher than the control plots. Sunflower planted at 40cm apart also significantly produced the heaviest head weight per plant of 149.40 and 152.30g seed weight per head 78.12 and 87. 66 g and seed yield of 512. 45 and 524.21kg ha 1.Application of 120 N kg ha 1 produced the highest seed yield of 561.59 and 549.42 kg ha 1 of sunflower in both cropping seasons. This result is statistically at par with application rate of 100 N kg ha 1 which produced 557.41 and 547.06 kg ha 1 seed yield of sunflower. This is also the same with application of rate of 80N kg ha 1 which produced 528.87 and 525. 10kg ha 1 seed yield of sunflower in both cropping seasons respectively. The control plots produced the lowest seed yield 312.89 and 322.23 kg ha 1 in both years of cropping. It can be concluded that 80 N kg ha 1 is the optimal nitrogen requirement and planting at 75cm X 40cm apart is adequate plant spacing for production of sunflower in southern guinea savanna agroecology zone of Nigeria.

Analysis of Belt Bucket Elevator

This paper describes the analysis of belt bucket elevator used in Myanmar C.P Livestock Co.Ltd Taunggyi feed mill. Material handling process is essential for the production. Bucket elevator has evolved as advanced material handling equipment in mechanized bulk material handling industry. The effective use of different types of bucket elevators completely depends on its design and types of bulk material. Yellow corn raw materials are transported by bucket elevator. In this journal, the use of conveyor systems and the design of bucket elevator with simultaneous buckets for lifting yellow corn at 28.8 m height are presented. And it is 70 tons per hour. The main aim is to share about conveyor systems and to know the calculation of belt design, shaft and pulley.

Internet of Things IoT Based Healthcare Monitoring System using NodeMCU and Arduino UNO

Today Internet has become one of the important parts of daily life. It has changed how people live, work, play and learn. Internet serves for many purposes educations, finance, Business, Industries, Entertainment, Social Networking, etc. The IoT is connected objects to the Internet and used to control of those objects or remote monitoring. A health care monitoring system is necessary to constantly monitor the patient's physiological parameters. The main advantage of this system is that the results can be viewed at any time and place. The doctors can be notified by using mobile phones messages if patient health is abnormal. In this system, heartbeat sensor, temperature sensor and blood pressure sensor are used. The system can analyze the signal to detect normal or abnormal conditions. In the system, the internet of things IoT is becoming a major platform for many services and applications. The IoT is generally considered as connecting objects to the Internet and using that connection for control of those objects or remote monitoring.

Deaf Sign Language using Automatic Hand Gesture Robot Based on Microcontroller System

Nowadays, the gesture is one of the most natural interaction methods of the human being. In fact, a great percentage of the human communication is based on visual communication rather than verbal communication. The robot and the gesture device are connected wirelessly via Bluetooth modules. The wireless communication enables the user to interact with the robot in a more friendly way. Gesture controlled robot is a robot which has been controlled by simple gestures. The user needs to wear a gesture device which includes a sensor. The sensor records the movement of hand in a specific direction which results in the movement of the robot in the respective direction. This robot helps people with deafness and dumbness by showing hand gestures assigned English alphabets. This paper discusses the design and implementation of deaf sign language using automatic hand gesture robot using Bluetooth and Arduino board.

Arduino Based Automatic Car Washing System

In this modern era automation helps us to save time, cost as well as manpower. Vehicles are used extensively for transportation. To clean these vehicles there is a need of a proper washing system. The most common problems often encountered while cleaning these vehicles are consumption of water, manpower and time. The easy and effective systems for maintaining the vehicles cleanliness become high demand. Therefore, this paper focuses on car washing system using ARDUINO. The exterior of the car will be washed by detecting the car on conveyor belt and the processes are controlled by ARDUINO. The sensors are placed on conveyor belt at different places for car detection, washing, cleaning and drying. This system can be applied in car manufacturing companies after final assembly of car, service stations, car replacing and maintaining stations, and car body building industry.

3G Drive Test Analysis for Long Call in University Campus

Mobile communication is developing very rapidly with passage of time, new technologies are being introduced to facilitate the mobile user more from the technology. The past technologies are replaced by new ones and needs are growing for the new technologies to be developed. Just within a decade, an evolution of wireless service people used every day can be completely dumb founded from the roots of analog based first generation service 1G to today's truly broadband ready fourth generation networks. Drive Test is conducted for checking coverage criteria of a cell site with RF Drive Test tool. The data collected by Drive Test tool as log files is analyzed to evaluate various RF parameters of the network. And it's very important things for mobile service provider. This paper is to study about the analysis of long call Drive Test for third generation 3G networks to evaluate the performance of QoS Quality of Service using TEMS Investigation 16.3.3 software and TEMS Discovery 10.0.6 software.

A Result on Novel Approach for Load Balancing in Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is a large pool of system in which private or public networks are interconnected in order to provide the scalable infrastructure to application, data and file storage. It is considered as the computer archetype in which large amount of information is stored. It helps in the significant reduction of the cost of computation, application hosting, content storage and delivery. In order to experience direct cost benefits, cloud computing is considered as a practical approach and it can possibly transform a data center from a capital intensive set up to a variable priced environment. It provides the feasibility to its customers that they can access their information from anywhere they want. Therefore, cloud overcomes the limitation of the location constraint. As compared to traditional concepts, cloud computing coveys the concept of the grid computing, distributed computing, utility computing or autonomic computing. When any virtual machine gets overloaded, fault may occur in the cloud environment. With the help of BFO algorithm, technique of adaptive task scheduling is proposed. Using this method, it becomes easy to transfer the task to the most reliable virtual machine. On the basis of calculated weight at virtual machine, the reliability of the virtual machine is calculated. The proposed and existing algorithms have been implemented in CloudSim. On the basis of the simulation results, it is concluded that the proposed method shows the reduction in the execution time as compared to existing technique.
