Dynamic Analysis of Bionic ARM

In this day and age there is an expanding need to make artificial arms for various cruel circumstances where human communication is troublesome or incomprehensible. They may include taking readings from a dynamic spring of gushing lava to diffusing a bomb. This paper presents a study on dynamic analysis of multi degree freedom of a bionic arm that is designed in CATIA V5. The prototype is converted into standard for the exchange of product .stp file and is imported in the ANSYS software for the calculation of parameters such as maximum and minimum of deformations, stresses, strains, velocities, and acceleration. The analysis is done with giving different materials for the better optimization of the parameters such as reduced weight, less friction, and more strength. The fingers are revolute pairs that are free to rotate about certain degrees this motion is given by actuators. The arm can be improvised by using sensors, actuators and mechatronic chips so that it mimics the artificial hand.

Design and Developing of Two Wheeler Handle Gripper Using 3D Printing Technology

This paper provides information about design and developing of two wheeler handle gripper using the 3D printing. This technology allows to build a part in such a wat that thermoplastic material through nozzle deposited layer by layer and manufacture with high degree of freedom unachievable with the traditional manufacturing method. These two wheeler handle grippers TWHG play important role in providing grip to driver during vehicle running and idle conditions, it is difficult to make firm grip between hand and handle without handle gripper on two wheeler handle. For this paper purpose handle gripper model is created in CATIA V5, it is fully three dimensional modelling software, by using this model of handle grippers 3D printed handle grippers are created by the method of fused deposition process of rapid prototyping technology.

Multiple Products Testing on Single Circular Conveyor

This paper proposes to solve the problem occurring at the time of segregation of products which are manufactured in the industry. There are several industries that produces multiple products which have different attributes, because of the presence of multiple products each type of product requires a different setup for its inspection and this causes more space requirement which leads to more capital investment. Therefore to eradicate this problem of different setups and space requirement we have developed the system which deals with multiple product testing on single circular conveyor which reduces the space tremendously.

RFID and GSM Based Safe Petrol Distribution System with Adulteration Prevention

Detection of fuel adulteration in real time is the most important need of the world as it generates the hazardous effects on the environment, living and nonliving things. Various automotive users and fuel providers may mix kerosene in petrol and diesel. Adulterated fuel increases air pollution, as well as reduces the performance of vehicle engines. Such a malpractice needs to be stopped, in order to that we have proposed a system to detect adulteration using LDR sensor, which will be later reported to the Fuel Manufacturing Company. We also focused on automating the process of ordering the fuel using GSM technology. Also our system provide safe transportation of fuel with accurate distribution as per fuel requirements of various pump using RFID technology

Experimental Investigation on TIG Welded Aluminium Alloy 6082 Weldment using Non Destructive Evaluation

NDE Non destructive Evaluation has evolved as an essential demand in much modern engineering equipment's like Heat Exchangers, Marine Industries and Oil Refineries. The performance levels and reliability of the NDE is more important to the end use of the object being inspected. Failure is the primary threat to the integrity, safety and performance of marine structure. Aluminum Alloy 6082 of dimensions 200X170X12 weldments are chosen for this project in view of its applications in heat exchangers, marine and oil refineries.

It was taken for this project in the form of plate and welded by tungsten inert gas welding TIG . The basic NDT experimental methods such as liquid penetrating test, magnetic particle test, ultrasonic test, and radiography test are chosen for quality assurance of the materials. penetrant testing for to surface defects, ultrasonic testing to detect the subsurface and internal defects, gamma ray radiography for internal defects. the results from methods were analysed.

Additive Manufacturing and Testing of a Prosthetic Foot Ankle Joint

Ankle replacement is a fairly new concept and is one of the popular treatments of ankle fractures and arthritis. This project focuses on modelling and 3D Printing of a prosthetic talocrural joint. The standard sizes of tibia which is the larger bone of lower leg and talus being lower part of the ankle joint, are observed and modeled accordingly by using CATIA with standard dimensions. The prototype is made with PLA plastic using an FDM Fused Deposition Modelling 3D printer. The analytical tests carried on ANSYS by applying human weight on the tibial surface and physical tests are conducted on Universal testing machine. The compression force is applied on the prototype and observed till failure. Results obtained are compared for static position of the foot, of both analytical and physical outcomes.
