Hostel Management System

The Hostel Management framework is a web application which is created for managing different activities in the hostel. This project is expected to limit human works and make hostel allocation much easier for student and hostel administrators with the help of the web application to hostel, naturally select the student from the waiting list and mess billing, outpass generation, complaint registration, and so forth. Student will get endorsement notice in their mails. It advises guardians with respect to their wards and their presence in hostel and their curricular will be informed to their parents using this model just in one touch.

In last, few years the number of educational establishments is expanding quickly. In this way, the quantity of hostels is additionally expanding for the settlement of the student considering in this college. Also, henceforth there is a considerable measure of strain on the individual who are running the hostel and websites are not generally utilized as a part of this specific circumstance. This specific project manages the issues on dealing with a hostel and helps to deal from the issues which happen when conveyed manually.

Simulation of Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum for Wireless Communication Systems using Simulink

In this work, a simulation model for Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) scheme for wireless communication systems has been proposed. Unlike the case of a single frequency carrier, the modulated signal in DSSS occupies a much wider bandwidth in order to reduce the possible interferences with narrow band communication signals. In telecommunications, DSSS is a spread spectrum modulation technique used to reduce overall signal interference. The spreading of this signal makes the resulting wideband channel more noisy, allowing for greater resistance to unintentional and intentional interference.

Mechanical Investigation and Comparison of Coated Curved Tiller Shovels (Va, Mo, B, Ti) By Hardfacing

The shovels used in cultivators are largely manufactured by the small scale industries. Due to improper material and surface hardening treatments, the quality of shovels does not conform to the Bureau of Indian Standards resulting in high wear rates and reduced life. It leads to Farmer's complaint about the high wear rate of tiller shovels and agricultural equipments in dry land areas. This high wear rate increases the cost of part replacement, downtime and labour. The objective of this study was to improve the wear resistance of tiller shovel with four different hardfacing electrodes (Va, Co, B & Ti).

Shield Metal Arc welding was used for depositing the layers of hardfacing alloy on tiller shovels. Rubber wheel abrasive test apparatus was used for Comparative wear tests on a regular tiller shovel and four hardfaced tiller shovels, where the effect of hardfacing alloys on the extent of wear and the wear characteristics of shovels were examined. In this study wear rate and hardness of regular tiller shovel and hardfaced tiller shovels, where studied. Regular tiller shovels gives the maximum wear and reduced 3 to 5 times with the help of hardfacing alloys.

Design a Refractory Boiler Shell for Optimum Weight

Now a day failure of refractory material in boiler furnace which is applied for different sites and different applications is the major problem has been faced by boiler manufacturing industries and they are trying to solve this. Different reasons of failure can be inappropriate transportation problem and loose application of refractory, excessive temperature developed in shell, sigma phase embrittlement, failure of anchors, improper storage of material etc. The materials and its properties used for refractory are studied here with its different types.

This report is related to thermal and structural analysis of refractory which is 75 mm thick and temperature distribution at certain distance by using ANSYS software.3D Model is drawn in solid works and then imported to ANSYS for next analysis. By applying thermal and structural conditions we get the results.

Experimental Enhancement of Heat Transfer Analysis on Heat Pipe using SiO2 and TiO2 Nano Fluid

This paper describes the enhancement of thermal performance of heat pipe using SiO2 and TiO2 nano fliuds. The experimentation explains about the effects of heat pipe inclination and heat input on the thermal efficiency and thermal resistance. Heat pipe is an advance type of heat exchanger which transfers huge amount of heat due to the effect of capillary action and phase change heat transfer principle. Recent developments in the heat pipe with high thermal conductivity through nano fluids.

This paper reviews, influence of various factors such as heat pipe tilt angle, charged amount of working fluid, nanoparticles type, size, mass/volume fraction and its effect on the improvement of thermal efficiency, heat transfer capacity and reduction in thermal resistance. The nano fluid preparation and the analysis of its thermal characteristics also have been reviewed.

Parametric Analysis of Reciprocating Friction and Wear Behaviour of PTFE Composite

When filler materials like carbon, graphite, glass fibres are added in the PTFE, a composite is formed which improves mechanical & thermal properties of that composite. It increases hardness and wear resistance, while the coefficient of friction is slightly affected and remains low. In this survey, we study various papers in which various methods & experiments were carried out for calculating friction & wear resistance of various compositions of polymers. So it is easy to understand properties & behaviour of polymers under various test conditions.

A Survey: Silkworm Egg Counting and Monitoring Based on Image Processing and Internet of Things (IoT)

Sericulture or Silk Farming is the cultivation of Silkworms to produce silk. India is the second largest producer of silk in the world after China. Directly or indirectly sericulture provides employability to more than 10 lakh people in India. Karnataka state contributes more production of silk in India. Silkworm seed production is important in increasing the quantity of silk production. Grainage are used for the production of large quantity of the Silkworm eggs. Counting of silkworm eggs is necessary to avoid loss to silkworm egg producers and farmers .

Present methods of counting of Silkworm eggs such as manual counting is waste of time and it requires lot of man power , other method such as calculator causes harm to the eggs because of its needle. Silkworm production is adversely effected by the humidity and temperature of the environment. Silkworm undergoes various changes in its lifecycle so it requires some automation to continuously monitor the growth of silkworm to increase the quality and quantity of the silkworm.

Hence automatic methods such as digital image processing techniques are used to count the number of eggs to avoid loss to the sericulturists and farmers. This paper presents the various image processing and IOT techniques used to monitor and obtain the silkworm egg count.
