Use of Natural Coagulants for Primary Treatment of Dairy Wastewater Treatment- A Review

Dairy Industry is one of the huge food processing industry in the world. The amount of wastewater produce is very high and is treated with many natural coagulants instead of chemical coagulants. Well known natural coagulant Moringaoleifera is used for dairy wastewater treatment which is having coagulant property of about 80% to85%. Various doses are given for raw sample and tests like BOD, COD, Turbidity, Total Solids etc. are carried out and optimum dose is calculated. As dose increases turbidity increases. The reduction of various parameters takes place.Moringaoleifera is more efficient than other coagulants as it contains protein.

A Systematic Literature Review of Frequent Pattern Mining Techniques

Mining of frequent items from a voluminous storage of data is the most favorite topic over the years. Frequent pattern mining has a wide range of real world applications; market basket analysis is one of them. In this paper, we present an overview of modern frequent pattern mining techniques using data mining algorithms. Frequent pattern mining in data mining takes a lot of data base scans.

Therefore it is a computationally expensive task. So still there is a need to update and enhance the existing frequent pattern mining techniques so that we can get the more efficient methods for the same task. In this paper, a study of all the modern and most popular frequent pattern mining technique is also performed.

A Study on road accidents and detection of driver's distraction

The number and quantity of vehicles on roads have enlarged due to technological and cost-effective progress in recent years. As a result of this increase, Avoiding the traffic and accidents have become one of the most important parts of our daily lives as people spend more time in traffic thereby forcing drivers and other road users to face a higher risk of the traffic accident. Road accidents are an outcome of the interplay of various factors, some of which is a length of the road network, vehicle population, human population and enforcement of road safety regulations.

The number one cause of car accidents is not a criminal that drove drunken, speed or ran a red light. Distracted drivers are the top cause of car accidents in most of the countries. A distracted driver diverts his or her attention from the road, usually to talk on a cell phone, send a text message or eat food. This study has discussed the statistics of road accidents and the top ten states in India's accidental death rates, common behavior of drivers which causes the accidents and distraction types. This paper proposed a methodology of detecting the distraction of drivers by calculating the heartbeat rate of the drivers when he or she is distracted

Optimization of cutting force of turning of AISI 1018 mild carbon steel using RSM

With passage of time technologically advanced machines have been developed. But the problem of the tool wear and cutting force for a particular machining process remains to be improved. So, to avoid or to cope-up with this problem it is necessary to find the best combination of machining parameters for obtaining optimum cutting force. In this work the optimization of cutting force for a given combination is done in a useful and easy way. Three factors are selected that affect the optimizing parameters in case of turning. These factors are optimized to get the optimum cutting force.

This is achieved by employing response surface methodology and signal to noise ratio calculation. One factor is varied by keeping the other two constant at same range. Through the response surface methodology 2D and 3D graphs are obtained and optimization is achieved. The S/N ratio is done to find out which factor has the most influence on the output that is cutting force.

Mining Human Movement Patterns for Big Data for Healthcare Applications in Smart Home

Nowadays, there is an ever-increasing migration of people to urban areas. Health care services are one of the most challenging aspects that is greatly affected by the vast influx of people to city centers. Consequently, cities around the world are investing heavily in digital transformation in an effort to provide healthier ecosystem for people. In this paper, we propose a model that utilizes smart home big data as a means of learning and discovering human activity patterns for health care applications. We propose the use of frequent pattern mining, cluster analysis and prediction to measure and analyze energy usage changes sparked by occupants' behavior.

RF ID Based Hot Water Distribution System

This paper assesses the effects of prolonged exposure of RFID to water on the performance of existing TAG recognition systems. The dataset used in this research is collected using a high-end, multispectral RFID scanner. To perform a data acquisition, we recruited volunteers to contribute their fingerprint samples to the dataset in multiple sessions. Once the dataset is filled with both fingerprints under normal and wrinkled conditions, we use a minutiae-based fingerprint verification system to retrieve the match scores between all combinations of prints.

Finally, we use receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve to measure the behavior of such systems under maritime environment. Using the equal error rate (EER), we successfully quantify the degradation in performance due to water-induced skin pruning, which is approximately 1% reduction in EER. Emphasis on energy efficiency has led the energy regulatory organizations and utilities to sponsor the study and development of alternative and improved designs for the efficient delivery of hot water in the home.

The Alliance for Water Efficiency has gathered a wide variety of documents relevant to the topic of hot water distribution and use, many of them originating from hot water distribution expert, Gary Klein formerly of the California Energy Commission. A hot water heater sensor can be configured to determine a level of hot water available for resident use. A set of facets can control a distribution of hot water within a residence.

Communication transceivers can be communicatively linked to the hot water heater and the facets to exchange digital information regarding hot water availability and consumption to a home-automation communication hub. A user device with a graphical user interface can present information derived from the hot water heater sensor and the facets to control, monitor, regulate, or change hot water availability to resident members via the graphical user interface.

Android based Digital Attendance System using GSM

Attendance recording in educational institutions is an important task. But now a day's manual data entry procedures are used to take the attendance. Traditional ways of recording attendance involve manual entering of individual attendance on a sheet of paper. Later, these are fed into staff diary or computer database. In this system we are focusing on developing this project, which will help the lecturers to take attendance easily, securely and will have less error.

For this we are implementing android based software for digital attendance system at teacher's Android mobile phone and student's Android mobile phone. This system will helps lecturers to take attendance of the students using android mobile phone, by using mobile application those who are present in the class, whose attendance will be marked.

After that captured data will be sent to server database from where attendance list will be updated automatically on the server's data base, lectures will able to edit the attendance and easily get requested information. This system helps teacher to take attendance through Smartphone and keep record of students for their progressive assessment. This system gives a prior intimation to student as soon as their attendance goes below the specified attendance threshold in the form of an SMS
