A critical study of fuzzy logic systems and its applications

The idea of fuzzy logic is based close to the human reasoning and regular exercises. It presents predicates which are available in nature and like those either enormous or little. This hypothesis copies human brain science in the matter of how a man settles on the choice speedier. Fuzzy logic is a superset of ordinary (Boolean) logic that has been stretched out to deal with the idea of halfway truth - truth esteems between "totally obvious" and "totally false". It can be actualized in equipment, programming, or a mix of both. It can be incorporated with anything from little, hand-held items to vast modernized process control frameworks.

Energy Saving by Virtual Machine Migration in Green Cloud Computing

Nowadays the innovations have turned out to be so quick and advanced that enormous all big enterprises have to go for cloud. Cloud provides wide range of services, from high performance computing to storage. Datacenter consisting of servers, network, wires, cooling systems etc. is very important part of cloud as it carries various business information onto the servers. Cloud computing is widely used for large data centers but it causes very serious issues to environment such as heat emission, heavy consumption of energy, release of toxic gases like methane, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, etc.

High energy consumption leads to high operational cost as well as low profit. So we required Green cloud computing, which very environment friendly and energy efficient version of the cloud computing. In this paper the major issues related to cloud computing is discussed. And the various techniques used to minimize the power consumption are also discussed.

Effect of Crude Oil on Permeability Properties of the Soil

The impact of crude oil on the permeability of the soil in a non-oil producing community in Enugu State was investigated using disturbed A-6 (CL) soil sample collected from Ibagwa Nike area of the state. The sample was divided into five (5) portions and each of the four (4) portions was dosed with Bonny light crude oil at 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% by weight of the samples. The physical properties of the uncontaminated soil were tested and analyses and used as control. The aim of the laboratory investigation was to determine the effects of crude oil on the permeability of the soil.

The permeability of the uncontaminated soil was found to be 1.2609x10-7. Permeability tests were also conducted on the contaminated soil samples at the various percentage contaminations. The results showed that at 2% crude oil contamination the permeability was 9.6403x10-9, a drastic reduction. The other results were 6.9600x10-6, 2.2621x10-8 and 9.1286x10-8 at 4%, 6%, and 8% contamination levels, respectively. The ranking after contamination is seen to drop within the range of 10-8 and 10-9 showing a change in the permeability due to oil content. This observed reduction in permeability alters the natural groundwater recharge which can be remedied by enhanced bioremediation through aeration of the soil.

Event-Driven, Client-Server Archetypes for E-Commerce

The networking solution to symmetric encryption [1] is defined not only by the understanding of write-ahead logging, but also by the extensive need for neural networks. In this position paper, we verify the visualization of red-black trees. In this paper we concentrate our efforts on arguing that local-area networks can be made wireless, authenticated, and Bayesian [2].

An Energy-aware Distributed Clustering Protocol in Wireless Sensor Network

Clustering is an effective approach for organizing a network into a connected hierarchy, load balancing, and prolonging the network lifetime. This paper proposes an energy-aware distributed dynamic clustering protocol (PFC) which applies three techniques: 1) non-probabilistic Cluster Head (CH) elections.2) on demand clustering. The remaining energy of the nodes is the primary parameter for electing tentative C's via a non-probabilistic fashion.Anon-probabilistic Selection is implemented by introducing a delay inversely proportional to the residual energy of each node. Therefore, tentative CHs are selected based on their remaining energy. Besides, in ECPF, CH elections are performed sporadically (in contrast to performing it every round). Simulation results demonstrate that our approach performs better than well known protocols (LEACH, HEED, and CHEF) in terms of extending network lifetime and saving energy.

A Critical Study on the Relationship between E-Learning & its Proper Subset Blended Learning in Higher Education

In today's age of virtually instantaneous access to a vast repository of knowledge and information, learning resources are often considered as key intellectual property in a competitive world, more and more institutions and individuals are sharing e-learning resources over the Internet openly and without cost, as open educational resources (OER). But in student's learning domain it got reverse impact even in spite of several favourable impact, depending on how prudently is used,as it leads to unsupervised education system and that may prone to develop misconception.

This study is fashioned to create a scalable intervention to measure the relationship between the e-learning and its proper subset blended learning of the students of higher education, perceived by their teachers. To address this issue college teachers of Kolkata (WB) constitute the population. A sample of 200 teachers were selected. A16-items self-developed questionnaire (r = 0.87362) was used to measure the teachers' perception aboute-learning and blended learning of their students. The obtained data were analysed and interpreted by using descriptive statistics, t-test, and one way ANOVA. The result reveals blended learning encourages healthy learning to the students.

Credit Card Fraud Detection using Fire Fly Algorithm

Data Mining or Knowledge Discovery is needed to make sense and use of data. Knowledge Discovery in data is the non-trivial process of identifying valid, novel, potentially useful and ultimately understandable patterns in data [1]. Data mining consists of more than collection and managing data; it also includes analysis and prediction. People are often do mistakes while analyzing or, possibly, when trying to establish relationships between multiple features. This makes it difficult for them to find solutions to certain problems. Classification models predict categorical class labels; and prediction models predict continuous valued functions. For example, we can build a classification model to categorize bank loan applications as either safe or risky, or a prediction model to predict the expenditures in dollars of potential customers on computer equipment given their income and occupation.
